How do you take the ferry from Tenerife to La Palma?

If you are organizing a trip to La Palma, here’s some useful information to find out all the options to travel to our pretty island. There are different means of transport you can use to get to La Palma.

The plane is the first of the options, and depending on your destination of origin, you’ll be able to find some direct flight. If you’re coming from the mainland there’s some airlines that have direct flights from different Spanish cities. If this is not your case, the other options are flying to Gran Canaria, which is 45 minutes away from our island, or to Tenerife.

If you are coming from outside Spain, you can also find flights from other European cities or alternatively via Madrid, Barcelona, Tenerife North, and Gran Canaria.

If instead of flying you prefer the sea as your gateway to La Palma, there are regular transport companies that offer daily connections from the Port of Los Cristianos in Tenerife.

As for the Tenerife-La Palma ferry, this is the easiest option to get here. You take the ferry in the Port of Los Cristianos, which is in the south of the island. There are usually three direct journeys between the two islands, from early morning to late evening hours. This information is easy to consult when you’re organizing your trip.
