A Historic Refuge

The Hacienda San Jorge, built in the 80’s by Mr. Francisco García Rodríguez, a native of La Palma, who with a great love for his island and a great vision for the future, decided to create a hotel with the highly valued architecture of La Palma, resembling in its structure an authentic Palmero village. Respecting the existing orography of the old finca, as well as its vegetation and already marked paths, he succeeds with his idea to create a different atmosphere for the visitor, full of peace that combines perfectly with the natural environment.

A botanical garden of dreams

One of the greatest charms of the Hacienda San Jorge is its impressive botanical garden. With more than 3,500 types of plants, including 55 varieties of palm trees, the garden is a true oasis of biodiversity. Of the 17,000 m² that the hotel occupies, 10,000 m² are dedicated to this garden, divided into different paths that preserve the names of the old estate. Here, you can stroll and feel at one with nature, enjoying the peace and serenity of the surroundings, and once a week we offer a botanical tour of our garden!
